Gerontology is a multi-disciplinary approach to understanding every aspect of human functioning in the later years. Courses in the Nazareth's Gerontology minor draw upon disciplines such as the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences, with a perspective that reflects the complexity of the environments within which individuals live and age.

The minor in Gerontology at Nazareth College was implemented in 1976. Through the specialized courses and internships of the minor, students become aware of the service, education, business, health and wellness issues of our growing aging population.
