Marrlee Burgess has been working with and for students in higher education for over 20 years. Off-campus, her other life includes performing as a musician and dancer in the sacred and early music realms and being a mom to her 22 year-old daughter Annie. Read a message from Marrlee here.
Student Assistants
At The Office for First Year Resources we have a number of students who are here throughout the workday to do both the necessary jobs around the office, and to visit with and help students when they come in. Every year, we try to hire a new student staff member to join us, so let us know if you are interested!

Houssem Lazreg, Graduate Assistant
Home Country: Tunisia, Africa
Activities: I am a member of the Junior Chamber International
(JCI)
Plans After College: After finishing my masters degree in
TESOL I plan on working for the United Nations Organization or one of
its branches to pursue my Doctoral studies in Political Science or
Linguistics.

Kate Morris, Graduate Assistant
M.S Education, Inclusive early childhood education
Hometown: Havertown, PA
Activities: After graduating with a BA in Sociology from Villanova, I went to teach in a local Goddard school. It was an amazing experience and helped me
figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. In my spare
time I love yoga, running, baking and cheering on my Philly teams and
especially my first love, the Villanova Wildcats. I am excited to
become a part of the Nazareth community and Rochester!
Post-Graduation Plans: When I am finished with school I hope to be a special educator for preschoolers or as a Resource Room Teacher.

Junior Psychology major

Activities: Peer Mentor in Kearney; Dance instructor
throughout high school; Worked at Camp Stella Maris as a Leader In
Training.
Post-Graduation Plans: I hope to go to graduate
school and focus on becoming a School Counselor for students with
disabilities.

Senior B.A. in Music with a Music History concentration; History minor
Hometown: Cheshire, CT
Activities: C.A in Lyons, Admissions, Chair of Music Mundana, Also work at Millies, Fermata Thin-Air, and Founder of Malestorm.
Post-Graduation Plans: I hope to go to graduate school for either Musicology or Higher Education.

Post-Graduation Plans: Go to Graduate School. Become a Speech Language Pathologist in an elementary school.

Junior Music Education major

Activities: Nazareth Cross Country; Nazareth Track and Field; Member of MENC, Ultimate Frisbee Club; Volunteer High School Track Coach
Post-Graduation Plans: Getting a Master's degree in Music Education or Ethnomusicology. Also, teaching in a public school or college while coaching track and field.

Activities: Running, Reading, Playing Video Games and Playing Saxophone.
Post-Graduation Plans: I hope to become a doctor some day.
