Nazareth College is ready to welcome the Class of 2014 as 480 new freshmen and 166 transfer students arrive on campus. Nazareth's "Orientation 2010" begins on Thursday, August 26, when the new students from seven countries (including Belgium, The Czech Republic, and Taiwan), 15 states, and the U.S. Virgin Islands and Guam, move in to the residence halls on campus. They'll spend the weekend participating in a whirlwind of activities, including New Student Convocation and the annual Orientation Day of Service on Saturday, August 28. For more information about orientation, contact Jane Kelly, director of student activities, at 585-389-2320.
The Class of 2014 is 75% female and 25% male, and Nazareth chose the class from a record applicant pool of more than 2,500 applications. Approximately one quarter of the incoming students compete in one of Nazareth's 23 intercollegiate athletic teams.
