Nazareth College is ready to welcome the Class of 2017 as 440 new freshmen and 180 transfer students arrive on campus. Nazareth's "Orientation 2013" begins on Thursday, August 22, when the new students from five countries (including Jamaica, India, and China), and 16 states move in to the residence halls on campus. They'll spend the weekend participating in a whirlwind of activities, including New Student Convocation and the annual Orientation Day of Service on Friday, August 23. The Class of 2017 is 73% female and 27% male, and Nazareth chose the class from a record applicant pool of more than 3,800 applications. Approximately one third of the incoming students compete in one of Nazareth’s 24 intercollegiate athletic teams.
