Imagined Tibet Made Real: A Spiritual Journey to the Roof of the World

Dr. Estella Norwood Evans, professor of social work and former Kilian J. & Caroline F. Schmitt Endowed Chair, will be the guest speaker.

"I was drawn to visit Tibet for a personal and up-close encounter with the warmth of its people, its stunning and sublime landscapes, to visit the holy city of Lhasa with its beautiful architecture and magnificent monasteries, and to develop a base of understanding regarding Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhism. My spiritual journey in Tibet taught me to visualize a world with an inter-sentient appreciation of differences among all living beings. It's a sacred contagion. Anyone who touches, sees, and hears Tibet and its people will sooner or later undergo an inner transformation as I did. Please join me as I share my spiritual journey to Tibet, the sacred place known as 'the roof of the world.'" ~Estella Norwood-Evans
