New Year’s Eve with The Capitol Steps is a long-standing Nazareth College Arts Center tradition. The Capitol Steps always bring a fresh, bipartisan take on current headlines, and they always receive rave reviews. Originally, The Capitol Steps began as a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. They have recorded more than 30 albums, including Desperate House-members and Barackin’ Around the Christmas Tree. They have been featured numerous times on prime time TV and can be heard four times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their “Politics Takes a Holiday” radio specials.
