In honor of the 20th Anniversary of the Rochester Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology (RIVP), we are holding a scientific symposium where presentations on recent research in the field will be given by several paleontologist from the U.S. and Canada. A keynote presentation will be given by Dr. Mary R. Dawson, Curator Emeritus, Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Topics to be presented include: Miocene horses, horned Rodents, ichthyosaur paddles, functional morphology of the vertebral column, giant camels, mammoth teeth, and more.
The event will be presented by Bill Korth (Chemistry Dept. and President of RIVP) and Dr. Judy Massare (Earth Science Dept. SUNY Brockport and Provost of RIVP).
