Andrea Folan, soprano
Jonathan Feldman, jazz piano and singer

Singer and Nazareth Faculty Andrea Folan joins teams up with jazz pianist and singer Jonathan Feldman to take the audience on a tour of “The Great American Songbook.”  Pop standards from the 30’s and 40’s big bands, show tunes and movie scores by greats like Harold Arlen (Stormy Weather), Irving Berlin, Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, George and Ira Gershwin (Summertime, I’ve got Rhythm), Frank Loesser, Cole Porter (Too Darn Hot, My Heart Belongs to Daddy), Rogers and Hart (My Funny Valentine, Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered), Jules Styne (Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend), Harry Warren (Chattanooga Choo Choo), and Nat King Cole (Unforgettable), form the core of a unique American repertoire made popular by every generation since by stars like Rosemary Clooney, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., Michael Bublé, and Diana Krall. Feldman’s unique understanding of the style and keyboard virtuosity and Folan’s voice and presence on stage combine deliciously to make their own homage to this wonderful genre worth experiencing.
