Nazareth College is pleased to host Dr. Charlotte Walker-Saïd for the continuation of the 2013-14 French House Lecture Series.

On Thursday, October 10 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm, in Golisano Academic Building, Room 375 on the Nazareth College campus, Walker-Saïd will present a talk on MARRIAGE IS A HUMAN RIGHT exploring sexual rights and marriage rights as part of the International Human Rights Movement during the decolonization era in West Africa. Her lecture will feature her forthcoming book Traditional Marriage for the Modern Nation: Family Formation and the Politics of Religion at the End of the Empire in Cameroon.

She will also present an interactive seminar on Thursday, October 10 from 12:05pm - 1:00pm at the French House on SEXUALITY, RELIGION, AND FAMILIES IN WEST AFRICA.
