The office of multicultural affairs is proudly sponsoring "Immigration and Imagination: Crossing Boundaries," a talk by Charles Mulligan, at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3 in the Shults Center Forum on the Nazareth College campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Charles F. Mulligan studied at St. Bernard’s Seminary and College and received a Licentiate in Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome. He worked for the church for many years as director of social ministry in Rochester, N.Y. and in Jesus Carpintero Parish in Santiago, Chile for eight years. As executive vice president of the Resurgens Foundation, Mulligan established two companies in Newark, N.J. which offered solid employment in construction and building maintenance. He has done extensive work in jail ministry in Paterson, N.J. and Knoxville, Tenn. Currently, Mulligan is working as a certified BIA representative doing legal work for the Office of Immigrant Services in Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tenn. He and his wife teach citizenship classes in Knoxville and Oak Ridge, Tenn.
