Global Citizenship: The Next Generation Living in a Pluralistic World is a full-day conference geared toward high school students, designed to give the future leaders of our world the tools to respond to intolerance, improve religious literacy, and possess the etiquette required to work in a pluralistic world.
This conference will include opportunities to attend workshops regarding non-violence, conflict resolution, interfaith etiquette, as well as recognizing and responding to religious intolerance and bullying in schools, the workplace, and our communities. In addition, students will also have the chance to learn about a religion or belief system different than their own. Through engaging presentations, peer dialogue, and a youth-to-youth teaching approach, students will improve their religious literacy, expand their knowledge of how to respond to intolerance, and come to understand the etiquette required to thrive in a pluralistic world.
A special informative session for teachers, designed to help address the challenges of teaching world religions in our schools, will be offered as well.
