The Foreign Languages and Literatures Department of Nazareth College is proud to present Barcarolle, a comedy in English, French, Spanish, and Italian by Candide Carrasco.

Tonight
is the first night of Carnival, full of magic, and mystery. It is the time of the year where anyone, no matter who they are, can become someone else. The power of a mask is amazing, hiding the true person behind. Or does it? Is it possible that the mask is only a menas of seeing who we truly are? Each character will be touched by the magic of the poet, Paolo, the loving hands of Venice, and the swift strike of Cupid's Arrow. What will happen when the Carnival revelers are faced with who they truly are inside? What will happen when Venice, the beautiful city on the sea, is thrown into the path of grave danger? Will the gods be able to find humans willing to give their lives for the city and its people? Only time can tell...

The performances will be on: March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. for schools and March 4th and 5th at 8:00 p.m. for the public. The performances will be in Callahan Theater, Nazareth College.
