Tapas & Topics – A Nazareth College Speaker Series Presents: "Music on the Brain" with Betsey King, PhD, LCAT, MT-BC. Assistant Professor, Music Therapy Program Director.

The neurology of music is a fascinating subject and it is becoming more mainstream, thanks to such books as Oliver Sacks’ Musicophilia and Daniel Levitin’s This is Your Brain on Music. Come learn about the music in your brain and how music can be a powerful healing tool. Get a first-hand look at the innovative work being done by Nazareth College faculty and students in helping people with Alzheimer's disease, children with autism, and adults with speech deficits after a stroke. Free and open to the public. Light refreshments and cash bar. Lecture begins at 6:30 PM.
