In 1989 the Friends of Ganondagan was founded to aid and support the Haudenosaunee people (those of the Six Nations) and the Ganondagan State Historic Site. The Friends of Ganondagan consists of all volunteers (they do not have to be Native American) that help from the activities that happen at the site. In Iroquois Social dances, each tell its own story. Some dances honor animals, some honor women, and some have even been incorporated into Iroquois Social dances from other tribes. The dances also teach about their culture and traditions to youth and to non-Native Americans. Nazareth will be holding a Social Dance on March 26 at 6:30pm in the Shults Center, all are welcome to attend. We hope to see you there!
