Nazareth College, HCR Home Care and Monroe Wheelchair host the 7th Annual Continuing Education event "Creating Rehab Solutions for an Aging Population" on the College's campus.

The anticipated growth of the elderly population is impacting all facets of the health care system. Providers who care for this population are routinely faced with challenges to best restore function and quality of life. This robust, one day course is designed to expand clinicians’ knowledge and skills in the area of rehabilitation among the aging population. Respected providers will examine best practice strategies utilized across all levels of both the physical and occupational therapy disciplines. This will include trends in the healthcare environment, respiratory function, assistive device prescription, joint arthroplasty, environmental modifications, generation gaps, and exercise prescription. Each session will include evidence-based instruction to enhance general clinical practices, as well as techniques to incorporate into therapy sessions the next day.
