The first of the lectures, “Words That Come Before All Else" will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in Otto Shults Center Forum from 7:00-9:00p.m.
Tom Porter, Mohawk elder and lifelong champion for the revitalization of Native languages and traditions will speak about the traditional “Thanksgiving Address” which explains the Haudesnosaunee (Iroquois) connection to the natural world, and is at the core of the Haudenosaunee view of the universe.
