Enamorados will be performed in English, with some French, Spanish, and Italian. The 80-minute performance is recommended for ages 11 and up.
The Nazareth College Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures presents Enamorados, an original, multilingual play written by the department's chairperson, Dr. Candide Carrasco.
Enamorados tells the story of Colin, who on his sixth birthday, lost his heart when his father abandoned him, and has refused to trust or love since. One day, while fishing with Celine, a tomboy with a speech impediment, Colin falls into the ocean and into a fabulous underwater world. He meets Prima Donna Nebulosa, a mute opera singer who enchants everyone with her constant games of charades; Krab Jack, a body builder obsessed with appearances; two mermaids, Delphine and Cleo, Swing, the squid; Oscuro, the seahorse; and Don Reflejo Tiburon, the shark. Will they be able to teach the boy how to trust and love, or will he be lost forever?
