A young Puerto-Rican child is born in the South Bronx to a drug-addicted father and a mother who abandons him: this is the beginning of Julio Jordan's book "Lucky Me: The Life and Times of Lucky Cesar". A local Hispanic author, Mr. Jordan will be reading from his book within a chronological structure, with a power-point presentation and a video adding to his readings and spontaneous anecdotal remarks about them as well. The event is co-sponsored by LASMA (Latin American Spanish Major/Minor Association) and Casa Hispana, where it will be held Wednesday, October 23rd from 7:00 - 8:30 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Casa. A question and answer period will follow Julio Jordan's presentation, with punch and cookies served. Free and open to the public! (In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month!)
