Inclusive Childhood Teaching Fellows

The Department of Inclusive Childhood Education announces its third cohort of Teaching Fellows to begin in Summer II of 2013.   This exciting initiative leads to Professional Certification in Inclusive Childhood Education.  The Teaching Fellows Program is highly competitive and situates  graduate school learning in a public school based experience.  As part of completing an intensive year of study, students will spend two days week in a school collaborating with teachers and leaders on school and classroom based research/inquiry projects that address needs of young learners.  Nazareth College awards 12 credits of graduate assistantship for the selected candidates.  The Teaching Fellows Program is limited to ten students.

The Department of Inclusive Childhood Education is currently partnering with five area school districts on this pilot:

  • Canandaigua City School District
  • Rochester City School District
  • Penfield School District
  • Rush-Henrietta School District
  • Webster School District
