The Digital Marketing & Design minor complements study in any subject by giving students an opportunity to apply their major knowledge to media. Through the minor's required courses, students can learn to plan, write, organize, design printed publications, and create websites, both individually and in collaborative groups. This minor is unique because it combines courses from diverse disciplines (Information Technology, Communication and Rhetoric, and Graphic Design) which are not often associated with one another in students' minds or in more traditional university curricula.
The Digital Marketing & Design minor intentionally brings together three fields of study that have become necessary for anyone working in organizations today. With this proposed minor - no matter the major - students will be prepared to take their place as digitally literate citizens in the contemporary workplace.
