The Word: Professional Organizations

Professional organizations in speech-language pathology and audiology exist at the local, state, and national levels. It's never too early to start your professional networking. These groups offer many opportunities to expand your awareness and knowledge about the professions, opportunities to interact with students from other programs, opportunities to develop working relationships with practicing professionals. In addition to encouraging students to be part of the activities of the organization itself, some organizations also offer special opportunities specifically targeted at student members.
