When to Come in for Advisement
You should come in for course advisement in the week or so prior to the scheduled registration time sent to you from the Registrar's office. Your advisor will post times when she or he is available for academic advisement. Most faculty post these times in the week prior to the official advisement period. Because advisors may not have advisement materials sent to them from the Academic Advisement Office and/or the Registrar until immediately prior to the advisement period, setting up an appointment before then may require a second appointment to finalize the paperwork. Unless you are considering issues such as study abroad or athletics and need to see what options may be available, please wait until your advisor has the materials needed to best help you.
