- Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back. (slogan for Relay 4 Life)
- Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of your American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.- www.cancer.org
- CSDA will have a team that will participate on April 16th at St. John Fisher
- SMILE Dinner
- CSDA organizes and puts on a Spaghetti Dinner to raise money for cleft palate surgeries. In the past we have teamed up and raised money for Strong’s Cleft Palate Cranial Facial Team.
- The dinner takes place in the spring semester but we would like to begin forming various committees to be in charge of tickets, food, raffles, decorations, etc. this semester.
- Keep this in mind and email CSDA@naz.edu if you are interested in being the head of one of these committees or if you would just like to be involved with one of these committees.
- NSA Volunteers
- We still need club members to volunteer to purchase cookies and a bottle of soda for the Stuttering Association that meets once a month. If you volunteer you only need to do this once, not every single month. Please let us know if you are interested.
- Clothing Sale
- In the meeting we decided what types of articles of clothing we would like to have in our clothing sale.
- Majority ruled: We are looking into black fleece zip-ups, grey sweatpants, and black long-sleeve shirts.
- Club members are encouraged to send any design ideas that they have to the club. At the meeting we discussed keeping the fleece zip-ups professional so we can wear them out to observations and such. The idea of putting IPA on the long-sleeve shirts and sweatpants was also brought up as an idea.
- The clothing sale will also act as a fundraiser. The prices will be raised by a dollar or two to be used towards activites, food, and other events such as the SMILE Dinner.
- Pricing has not been figured out yet but we will send out an email as soon as we know.
