First Year Housing Options:

For the most part, first year students are assigned to double rooms in a traditional residence hall with another first year student. If you choose to live on campus and submit the Students cooking in dorm kitchensapplication-contract by the May 1 deadline, you are guaranteed a standard room.

First year students who are entering college for the first time are generally assigned to Kearney, Lourdes, and Medaille. First year students also have the option of requesting Special Interest Housing.

There are limited spaces reserved in the French House, and on the Honors, Substance Free, and Quiet Floors. We try very hard to honor written mutual roommate requests received by the May 1 deadline.

Some years we have a few more students apply for housing than we have spaces for initially. A short time after school starts we usually do have spaces develop because of no shows, non-returners, and requests to move off-campus.

Instead of having late applicants find their own temporary housing until campus space opens, or worse, not be able to attend Nazareth College due to a lack of housing, we do placeFirst year students eating together students in "crowded housing." You pay less if you have to stay in such a space longer than a few weeks and we will do our best to reassign you promptly.
