Admissions requirements depend upon your educational background. Past work is assessed individually; however, there are general requirements for all applicants.
In order to be considered for acceptance as a major in the Nursing Program, the following criteria must be met:
- You must be a graduate of a state-approved diploma or associate degree program in nursing with a cumulative grade point average of 2.3 on a scale of 4.0, and have earned at least 15 units of college or university credit in required prerequisite courses.
- You must hold licensure and current registration to practice professional nursing in the United States or be awaiting NCLEX-RN results within six months of matriculation.

Credit for these courses may be obtained either through transfer credit or validation examinations. If prerequisite course requirements have been met upon application to Nazareth, enrollment in the Nursing Program can occur immediately; if all prerequisite courses are not completed, they can be fulfilled at Nazareth before enrolling in the Nursing Program.
