Small Class Size

At Nazareth College, classes emphasize personal attention, with an average class size of 25 students. The student/faculty ratio is 14 to 1, ensuring you receive individual attention from Nazareth's highly qualified faculty.

Clinical Facilities

Nazareth College has clinical affiliation agreements with more than 90 hospitals, ambulatory care centers, long-term care organizations, adult day-care facilities, surgical centers, community, and public and home health care agencies that provide health care for culturally diverse people of all ages -- infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age.

Access to Information

The Lorette Wilmot Library and Media Center houses more than 250,000 volumes, 2,000 journals, and a large collection of recordings, films, and computer software. Fully automated through state-of-the-art computerization, the library provides you with access to the holdings of a rich network of other local, regional, and national libraries. On campus, you can also enjoy access to several computer laboratories in which to carry out work and research. Connected to the Internet, Nazareth's computer system offers a wide range of versatile and sophisticated applications and uses.
Career Services

Career Services at Nazareth include an interactive computerized career guidance system, individualized career counseling, graduate school workshops, and special job-search skill building programs offered throughout the year. The Career Resource Area of the Office of Career Services is open daily and houses up-to-the-minute materials for further educational and professional opportunities. Additionally, the Career Services website offers a comprehensive decision-making and job search tool to aid with employment choices and career advancement.

Daycare

If you need to split your time between studying and parenting, there is a child care center located in Founders Hall on campus. Licensed by the New York State Department of Social Services, the Patricia Carter Child Care Center of Nazareth College provides care for children ages three to five, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Employment Opportunities:

If you are interested in part- or full-time employment while attending Nazareth College, you may utilize information available from the Nursing Department about employment opportunities at health care institutions in the Rochester area. The department will also furnish information about you to nurse recruiters at cooperating institutions.
Social Life:

The Otto A. Shults Community Center is a focal point for social, educational, cultural, and recreational activities. Its facilities include meeting rooms, an information center, cafeteria, bookstore, interfaith chapel, career services office, gymnasium, swimming pool, racquetball courts, and fitness center. The Nazareth campus also features four foreign language centers, and an Arts Center that has welcomed more than two million people during its 28 seasons of glittering performances.

Athletics

Nazareth College offers a wide variety of athletic opportunities for you: soccer, volleyball, tennis, golf, basketball, swimming, lacrosse, field hockey, and equestrian programs. Nazareth's nationally ranked women's soccer, lacrosse, and volleyball teams made appearances at NCAA championship tournaments in 2001-2002. The men's lacrosse team has won the NCAA Division III national title three times in the past ten years. In 2001, Nazareth gained acclaim from USA Today and the NCAA for having one of the nation's top student-athlete graduation rates of 89%. The student-athlete grade-point average for Spring 2002 was 3.11.
