Biography:
Kevin Nitsch
works as a teacher, performer, collaborator, director, composer,
and arranger in the Rochester, NY area. Kevin has presented Sunday
Musicales at the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY and a program
for WBFO radio in Buffalo, NY. Kevin has studied piano with Richard
Cass, Jeffrey Kahane, Natalya Antonova, and Rebecca Penneys. Kevin
conducted a research project at the Royal Conservatory of Music
of Brussels, Belgium. The project investigated the performance
barriers that piano students face and how the teachers help their
students to overcome them. He has worked with Ray Gottlieb, who's
Attention and Memory Training and Flow State Learning techniques
provide a unique and efficient approach to playing and teaching
the piano. Kevin has published a collection of piano solo arrangements
of Advent hymns and released a CD with Ruth Fleischmann, contralto.
Kevin is the organist and choir director at the Baptist Temple
Church in Rochester, NY.
