Biography:
Bulgarian-American trained pianist Linda Boianova was a finalist of the East & West Artists International Auditions for a New York Debut and performed with the Adirondack Chamber Ensemble, at Bucknell University, Weimar, Germany, and throughout Switzerland, Ukraine, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, and the Northeastern United States. Ms. Boianova has commissioned and premiered works by American, Bulgarian, and Chinese composers and is a recipient of a grant from the Landow Doctoral Fund, an opera coaching assistantship from the Eastman Opera Theatre, a scholarship from the Mozarteum Academy, the Performer's Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, as well as fellowships to the International Piano Academy in Hamamatsu, Japan, the Art Song Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Quartet Program at Bucknell University. Ms. Boianova's piano teachers includd Fernando Laires, Nelita True, and Mikaela Exerova. The pianist has participated in master classes with Paul Badura-Skoda, Bernard Ringeissen, Hiroko Nakamura, Malcolm Bilson, Menahem Pressler, and Lisa Moore among others, and has been fortunate to have such vocal coaching mentors as Julius Drake, Warren Jones, Jean Barr, and Hakan Hagegard.
In the summer of 2004, Ms. Boianova performed in the world premiere of the musical "Five-Course Love" at the GEVA Theatre in Rochester, New York and served, for a second year, as the vocal coach and accompanist for the Summer School of the Arts at Nazareth College.
