Media Equipment Circulation and Delivery

Media equipment is available for classroom use, faculty and staff functions, and other events. A list of available equipment is provided below. Faculty and staff may request the use of media equipment in either of two ways: for pick-up in the Media Center with the loan period varying by type of equipment, or for delivery to a campus location for a specified date and time. Since media equipment use always is subject to availability, we strongly recommend making requests in advance -- up to one year prior to the required date of use. To ensure that delivery can be scheduled as you desire even when the equipment is available, please be sure to place your request at least 48 hours in advance.

To place a request, call extension 2139, or 2131 (389-2131 from off-campus). We will need the following information from you:

• Name
• Department
• Phone number
• Title & call number of material (if requesting material from the media collection)
• Type of equipment needed
• Date needed
• Start time
• End time
• Delivery location
• Class size

Media Center staff will deliver and set up the requested equipment, as well as provide technical assistance when needed. We suggest that you allow sufficient time to become familiar with and test equipment on location prior to your presentation.

Please note the following information:

• Most classrooms are equipped with overhead transparency projectors and screens.
• Campus smart classrooms are maintained by Information Technology Services.
• Due to the multiple equipment deliveries and pick-ups that Media Center staff must make between classes, we cannot stay to start a video, CD, or other program for a class.
