Internships in Washington DC (15 credit hours)

Students are eligible to apply for a wide variety of internships in the nation's capital through a cooperative program Nazareth college has with the Washington Internship Institute (3.0 gpa required).

 
Internship at the New York State Legislature in Albany
(12 credit hours)
Students have the opportunity to participate in state government and the legislative process by interning for the New York State Legislature in Albany. Students live in Albany and are assigned to work for the entire semester for either a State Assembly Representative or a State Senator. (A stipend is available to assist with living expenses.) (2.7 gpa required)
Local Legislative Internships (3 credit hours)
Students work for a semester in the Rochester office of a U.S. Senator or Congressperson (2.7 gpa required). 

Local Internships in State Government (3 credit hours)
Students work for a semester in the Rochester office of the NY State Executive Department Division of Human Rights (2.7 gpa required).

Center for Dispute Settlement
An independent nonprofit organization which uses alternative dispute resolution processes such as conciliation, mediation and arbitration to enable individuals and organizations to resolve conflicts without litigation. The Center also provides training in nonviolent and non-adversarial dispute resolution skills (2.7 gpa required).
