Art Therapy Clinic

Art therapy uses the creative process of art making to improve and enhance the physical, cognitive and emotional well-being of individuals of all ages. It is based on the belief that the creative process involved in the making of art is healing and life enhancing.

The art therapy clinic provides diagnostic assessments, consultation and treatment for individuals, groups and families of all ages. Nazareth students receive hands-on experience with clients and learn from professional art therapists.

Clinical Research Trials- We are currently conducting clinical research documenting the efficacy of art therapy and its effect on the release of norepinephrine (NE) and its contribution to the modulation of mood. The following individuals are in the pilot stage of this very exciting research:

"It's not about being an artist, it's about using visual symbols to explore feelings and emotions… it's about seeing feelings, making them visible to yourself."
