Proposal Preparation
Writing a grant proposal can be challenging for some academics, in part because the writing conventions required are generally rather different from those required in disciplinary and scholarly contexts.
To help you in your proposal preparation, the Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Research has compiled some points of general advice and tips on different aspects of proposal writing, as well as a list of online guides to proposal writing.
Online Guides to Proposal Writing
- The Foundation Center: A Proposal Writing Short Course
- Grants.gov: Developing Grant Proposals
- NSF: Grant Proposal Guide
- NSF Division of Undergraduate Education: A Guide for Proposal Writing
- Jacob Kraicer: The Art of Grantsmanship
Please remember, the Office of Sponsored Programs and Faculty Research is here to help you — give us a call.
We are more than happy to review, edit, and make suggestions for your proposals at any stage of the process.
