About
Grants.gov is:
- a government initiative to simplify the grants management process of all Federal grant-making agencies in one, secure Federal Website.
- a single, authoritative source for finding information on all competitive Federal grant opportunities. All Federal requests for proposals (RFPs) are posted on Grants.gov, simplifying the search for potential Federal grant funding. Over 1000 grant programs from 26 Federal grant-making agencies awarding over $400 billion annually are listed on Grants.gov.
- a portal for Federal grant applications. As of September 2006, 75% of all Federal grant applications will be posted to, and may be submitted via, Grants.gov. As of September 2007, this will increase to 100%. In addition, agencies will, as scheduled by the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB), incrementally require that these applications be submitted via Grants.gov.
