A Clinical Instruction Credential Trainer for APTA., Dr. Collins enjoys being innovative, collaborating with other departments as well as community providers, and working with students at Nazareth, especially in her Professional Issues class. But it isn't just Nazareth students and the Rochester community with whom Dr. Collins feels "connected." When not teaching, she can be found spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Horovitz considers it a privilege to work alongside the students at Nazareth. Of all the classes she's taught in more than 20 years at the College, Phototherapy and Counseling Techniques is her favorite. When not working with her students and patients, Dr. Horovitz stays busy writing art therapy publications ... and her first fiction book, which is currently in production.

Dr. Shirley F. Szekeres

Dr. Shirley Szekeres is devoted to understanding the workings of the brain. In addition to making contributions to traumatic brain injury textbooks, she established the Aphasia Clinic at Nazareth. It's no surprise, then, that her favorite class to teach at the College is Aphasia and Related Disorders. Dr. Szekeres feels that when great minds work together, difficult goals can be achieved. And to her, Nazareth is unique because "there are opportunities for innovations and collaborations with valued colleagues and students."

Lisa Durant-Jones

Professor Durant-Jones finds teaching at Nazareth a pleasure because of the "ability to establish close working relationships with students to meet individual needs." With 16 years of experience, nine of which she has taught at Nazareth, Professor Durant-Jones has also been involved in multiple presentations accepted for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association over the past ten years. She is currently a doctoral student at the U of R.

Dr. Linda Janelli

In her ten years at Nazareth, Dr. Janelli has enjoyed teaching because of the College's "community atmosphere of working with colleagues who also care." Among her favorite classes are Foundations for Transcultural Nursing, and Health Assessment of the Elderly. Aside from teaching, Dr. Janelli is interested in her research, which involves using music to release physical restraints in acute hospital settings. Outside of Nazareth, her travels often take her abroad.

A professor of Social Work for ten years, Dr. Brownstein-Evans enjoys teaching Human Diversity and Multicultural Perspectives, among other courses. She truly appreciates the small liberal arts college atmosphere at Nazareth, the connection to the community through programs and initiatives, and the quality of programs and faculty in the School of Health and Human Services. Her many publications and presentations reflect her interest and expertise in mothers and addictions, child welfare professionalization, and ethics. Outside of Nazareth, Dr. Brownstein-Evans enjoys sailing and skiing.
