Name: Dr. Monica Weis SSJ Dr. Weis has been actively involved in the Nazareth Community as a devoted teacher for 32 years. To her, Nazareth is a special place to work because of its strong community spirit and caring atmosphere. Dr. Weis also helped develop the English Education Program at Nazareth, in which she has inspired other teachers for 25 years. She is well known throughout the Rochester area and scholarly community for her recently published book, Thomas Merton's Gethsemani: Landscapes of Paradise (Univ Press of Kentucky, 2005).

Name: Dr. Deborah A. Dooley Teaching at Nazareth is a special experience for Dr. Dooley. She feels by returning to work and teach at her alma mater, she is giving back what the College has given to her. Like the plants in her garden, she enjoys watching how students "blossom" as they move from their freshman to senior year.

Name: Dr. Karen Trickey As director of the art education program at Nazareth, Dr. Trickey helped establish Saturday Art for Children, a learning lab in the pre-service program that has been successfully running for 22 years. She also played a role in creating the Art Education Mentor Network, which has enabled area art teachers to share concerns, knowledge, and expertise since 1992. A teacher at Nazareth for 25 years, Dr. Trickey feels the College is more than just a workplace: it's a "warm and caring environment with high academic standards" and a place "where we can all learn from each other." |

Name: Dr. Mary C. Carlson Dr. Carlson has been a professor at Nazareth for seven years. Prior to this, she was a teacher in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for 16 years. Dr. Carlson's favorite class is Curriculum Design in Music Education, and she finds that Nazareth has "great students and faculty." In her free time, Dr. Carlson enjoys caring for her Westie, "Robby." |
