A Message from the Director

I am often asked the question, "Why do first year students get so much attention?"

There is a growing body of evidence that suggests and, in some instances, proves that first year students have needs unlike any other group of students in higher education. Most first year students are going through a major life transition at a critical time in their development. This makes them unique, special and, yes, challenging at times! The First Year Center has been established to promote first year student success by understanding through research, supporting through collaboration, serving by caring and educating to further understanding. We work with the entire Nazareth community in this endeavor. I invite you to peruse our website to learn about what we do for first year students and, if you have any questions, please contact me.
