Awards from special restricted and endowed funds are made possible by the generosity of individual donors, foundations, and corporations. Ordinarily such awards are made for the junior or senior year and recognize academic achievement, demonstrated need, and other qualifications as specified by the donor. These awards frequently replace all or part of a scholarship or grant from unrestricted funds that the student received previously. Where a living donor or fund representative exists, recipients will be informed of their address and are expected to acknowledge the award in writing. Also, these students are expected to attend the annual scholarship luncheon to meet their donor in person.
