Welcome to the Facilities Homepage
Sodexho Campus Services has enjoyed providing full facilities service to Nazareth College's approximate 4,500 students, faculty, staff, and administration employees since November of 1993. Our responsibilities include maintenance, custodial, grounds services, construction project management, and programs support. Our goals are met through the combined efforts and teamwork of 67 employees, including 36 housekeepers, 15 maintenance workers, 9 groundskeepers, and 6 administrative personnel.
Our Goal
The goal of the Facilities department is to provide exceptional services that contribute to the support of the educational goals of Nazareth College.
Departments
The facilities department is comprised of four main areas:
- Building Maintenance: Carpentry, Painting, Roofing, Locks and Keys, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation, Plumbing, Air Conditioning, Furniture Repair, Event Support.
- Grounds: Landscaping, Maintenance of Street/Sidewalk/Parking Lot, Equipment Moving, Snow Removal and Ice Sanding, Tree Maintenance.
- Projects: New Construction, Renovation, Energy Management, Engineering Services, Space Planning, Building Code Inspections.
- Custodial: Routine, emergency, special cleaning and disposal including: Carpet Cleaning, Floor Cleaning, Stripping, Waxing, Window Cleaning, Trash Removal, Recycling Containers and Information, Event Support.
Any work requests submitted to Building Maintenance and Grounds are numbered by a work order number and will be grouped into one of three categories - Urgent, Routine, or Project.
An urgent request is any request that involves a health or safety hazard, a power failure or potential damage to facility or equipment.
Other maintenance requests are routine: burned-out light bulbs, leaky faucets, key requests, etc. These are scheduled in the order they are received, but completion time is dependent on the availability of the parts.
Key Requests: All key requests must be submitted in writing with the department head's signature.
Set-Up Requests: Five days advance notice is requested for all set-ups.
