School and Community Partnerships

Wolf Trap Early Learning through the Arts & RCSD School #44

Through a grant funded by the New York State Council on the Arts we continue collaborative work at RCSD School #44 as part of "Climbing the Ladder - Sequential Early Learning through the Arts," an in-depth sequential, interdisciplinary performing arts integration program for pre-K-2 students and teachers.

The Project engages teachers, teaching artists and students (pre-K-2nd) in well-planned, well-delivered arts based learning to:

  • enhance social, perceptual, cognitive, physical, creative and literacy skills
  • model rich arts partnership practices
  • utilize longitudinal assessment to measure and learn from the project's impact
