Scholarship Support
"Thank you for recognizing my achievement and allowing me to continue to pursue learning in and out of the classroom walls at Nazareth College."
-Jillene Narraway '00
Psychology major,
Recipient of the Nazareth College Concepts Scholarship
Today, nearly 91 percent of Nazareth students require some form of financial assistance to attend the College. Many students work one or even two jobs, or take out substantial loans to finance their education. National studies show that long hours of employment have an adverse impact on academic performance. You can help our students make the most of their Nazareth education by supporting student financial aid in one of two ways:
Annual Scholarship Assistance
Your annual gift to Nazareth College can be designated toward student financial aid to benefit the student immediately. When making your gift, simply indicate on the online gift form, gift envelope or check that you would like your annual gift to be used for student financial aid. Your contribution will be added to the financial aid budget to provide assistance to students for the current fiscal year.
Establish an Endowed Scholarship
One of the most meaningful ways alumni, parents and friends can help Nazareth students is through an endowed or permanent scholarship. Gifts to endowed scholarships are invested, so that they provide scholarship assistance in perpetuity.
Whether established by individuals, family members, classmates, business or corporations, endowed scholarships are opportunities to honor a family or corporate name, memorialize a loved one or commemorate a special event.
Scholarship donors have the opportunity to meet the recipient of their scholarship at the annual Scholarship Reception held during the Fall semester. Additionally, the names of all endowed scholarships are listed on a plaque located in Smyth Hall.
