In the summer of 2004, we began the Center for Teaching Excellence Summer-to-Fall Book Groups. Appropriate books are chosen by the Center. Faculty read the selected book(s) over the summer. When they return in the fall, the Center hosts a series of discussions on each book. Spring, 2005

In the spring of 2005, the Center for Teaching Excellence piloted a new initiative at Nazareth College -- Senior Read. The purpose of the Senior Read is to present a forum for seniors that promotes discussion about the life and work of their graduation speaker. Discussion groups are formed to read works of the speaker or to review works about them. The discussions are facilitated by a members of the Nazareth faculty.

The Senior Read for Spring, 2005, was Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafis. Four discussion groups were formed.
