Confidentiality

Counseling Services client information is confidential to the extent that ethical and legal limits allow.

Information can only be released with the written consent of the student.

Exceptions to this confidentiality may occur if a student poses a threat of serious harm to self or to others, or in the case of maltreatment of an elder or minor.

Regarding group experiences, participants are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all group members.
