Virus Dos and Don'ts

DO	install virus protection software	DON'T	open or forward e-mails and e-mail attachments without scanning them for viruses first.
DO	update the virus definitions for your virus software weekly	DON'T	use illegal software
DO	scan your computer monthly for viruses	DON'T	download data from doubtful sources
DO	scan all downloaded files and e-mail attachments from the Internet for viruses before opening them	DON'T	give out your password to others.
DO	scan floppy disks, zip disks, CD's before using them	DON'T	reuse passwords when setting up accounts
DO	backup your programs and data regularly.
DO	change your password immediately upon receipt of a new account.
DO	change your password of existing accounts frequently to prevent password hacking.
