Bach Children's Chorus - students ages 9 through 15

Large group rehearsals 9:30 - 11:30 AM once monthly; weekly small group rehearsals/theory classes meet throughout the day

Acclaimed for its outstanding performances, The Bach Children's Chorus, in residence at Nazareth College appears regularly with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rochester Chamber Orchestra and other area ensembles. The program specializes in significant repertoire of the 18th - 21st centuries. The Chorus has toured widely, including recent performances at St. Patrick's Cathedral, in New York City, Boston, Cleveland, Toronto and the National Catheral in Washington, D.C. Chorus members rehearse weekly in small groups, in conjunction with a theory class; the entire ensemble meets monthly for rehearsals.

Mozart Children's Chorus

September through April
(20 classes)

Designed as a classroom choral experience for young children, the Mozart Children's Chorus offers an exploration of singing, rhythm, elements of music theory and use of Orff instruments. The musical material is chosen from the vast repertoire of folk songs, including American as well as foreign language. Children will perform in concert once or twice yearly.
