“When Leeds Met Nazareth”

The International Service Exchange is a unique program that gives students, faculty and staff from Nazareth College and Leeds Metropolitan University the opportunity to learn by providing volunteer service abroad.  Focused on community development, the service activities introduce participants to community challenges and to professional staff, faculty, and organizations that are working to meet community needs.  Exploring the similarities and differences between U.S. and English perspectives, participants learn different theories and practices relevant to community development.  Through cultural exchanges, participants have the opportunity to enhance their intercultural competency as well as gain knowledge, skills and perspectives which support the development of global citizenship.

Each summer, Nazareth College and Leeds Metropolitan University participate in the Service Exchange.

Summer 2009:  Leeds Metropolitan University students, faculty and staff will travel to Nazareth College from July 25 through August 12.

Summer 2010: Nazareth students, faculty and staff will travel to Leeds Metropolitan University!  For more information contact Adam Lewandowski, Assistant Director for Community Service at alewand8@naz.edu.
