Nazareth Welcomes International Students
We invite international students to consider making Nazareth College their university home for undergraduate and graduate study in America. Nazareth College of Rochester is an independent, major institution of education at the university level in New York State. It is well known on the East Coast for the quality of education it provides to thousands of students. We are located in the city of Rochester, a U.S. High Tech center for research and industry and a focal point for Higher Education.

Strategically Located
Nazareth College is strategically located between Toronto in Canada, and New York City. Since Rochester has a major airport, travel to and from our College to other places in the United States and abroad is very easy. The city is served by several national airlines, and a major rail line connects the area with New York City and Chicago. Within hours international students can be back with their families for vacation or summer work. Of course, the New York Thruway interstate highway system permits easy travel to the East Coast, Canada, and to major cities in the Midwest.
Student-Centered
At Nazareth College students are first on the agenda. The Center for International Education coordinates the activities for international students. In the academic and cultural life of each student we emphasize personal development and excellence. We closely advise students about their best educational options and their career chances. Each student has an academic advisor, and there are programs run by students to help others succeed. Especially for the first year - the freshman level - special programs are in place to help students do well in their studies, right from the beginning. As students progress in their studies, they are encouraged to explore fields that will enhance their major studies, such as an outside minor; the Honors Program; additional preparation in Education; another language. Some students study abroad for one semester in one of our several programs.
Service-Oriented
Students at Nazareth benefit from the large number of services, such as: comfortable housing for undergraduates; full service eating facilities; special meeting places for student groups; many student interest clubs; a Religious Life center open to all religious faiths; computer and internet centers; business internship programs; an excellent student Healthcare Center; numerous NCAA sports teams; intramural sports opportunities; a Health Fitness Center; and the Student and a Career Services Center for job searching.
Community-Active
As an educational community we support students who want to serve their community in social, educational and religious ways. The College community cooperates with area agencies so that students can help provide support where it is needed. Students can participate in one of the many faith centers of the world religions that are represented in our area. Numerous students join together to provide support to social services and serve the common good. Other agencies, such as the local association for the United Nations or national ethnic associations offer international students the opportunity to highlight their own heritages.
Safety-Minded
Nazareth College is located in a beautiful and quiet residential area of our metropolitan area where students can safely and easily get to local stores and cultural events. We have a spacious campus with complete living facilities and services for students living on campus, and for those who commute from their own homes or apartments. Our Security and Safety Department provides modern technology to each student for personal safety, and students can learn and progress in a quiet atmosphere. Off campus students with children can make use of the on-campus Child Care Center for certain children young children not yet of school age.
Results-Driven
Students who are matriculated any one of our thirty-seven different Undergraduate majors or for eighteen Masters degree programs at Nazareth College are well prepared for general education and for specific professional careers. Our graduates go on to other Masters and Doctoral studies such as law, medicine, business and education, or immediately pursue careers in the natural sciences, health sciences, business, education, social services or civil service work with municipalities and government agencies. Finally, at our Career Services Department students are counseled in the preparation of their professional resumes, for further education or for a job search.
