Chemistry Major to Teach at Yale
Justin Carmel, a junior chemistry major with adolescent certification, was recently selected to teach forensic science at Exploration Summer Programs. Exploration Summer Programs is a summer camp that encourages students to learn without graded assignments. Courses are available in a wide variety of academic options, including forensic science, West African dance, and broadcast journalism. This summer, Carmel is teaching in the Senior Program (for grades 10-12) on the campus of Yale University. He will join a staff comprised of college students, graduate students and professional educators to inspire young students through the art of forensic science. He will also be teaching two mini courses including one that will have students test scientific myths.
