Nazareth College at a Glance

Nazareth College is a co-educational, selective comprehensive college by choice and conviction with nearly 1,700 undergraduate students and approximately 450 graduating seniors each year. Each graduate has completed an educational program based in the liberal arts thereby developing excellent critical thinking, speaking and writing skills. Many students also complete professional programs of study in accounting, business, physical therapy, art therapy, music therapy, education, nursing, speech pathology and social work. Because of Nazareth College's desirable size, on-campus opportunities to develop leadership skills are possible for all students. Nazareth students also develop a social conscience by participating in volunteer activities as part of Nazareth's on-going tradition of service to the community.

Employer Services

ON-CAMPUS RECRUITMENT - The Nazareth College Office of Career Services offers comfortable, quiet interview space on campus by appointment. Prospective employers may interview students by pre-screening student resumes and interviewing those who are most qualified, or by holding an open sign-up. Career Services will coordinate advertising visits to campus, gathering resumes, and scheduling appointments. Most recruiting dates are scheduled in the spring when 90% of Nazareth College seniors graduate. However, fall recruiting dates are available to accommodate the schedules of representatives from organizations wishing to recruit on-campus at that time. To schedule a visit, please e-mail or call Mike Kahl at 389-2890, Amy Bauer at 389-2891, or Danielle Pearles at 389-2892.

JOB POSTINGS/NAZLINK - The Office of Career Services maintains a comprehensive web site called NazLink, which includes up-to-date information on employment opportunities for students and alumni.  To post your full-time and part-time job vacancies, summer employment opportunities, work study employment or internship opportunities, please point your web browser to www.myinterfase.com/naz/employer. Register your organization, then select My Jobs to begin posting your opportunities. Please e-mail or call Mike Kahl at 389-2890, Amy Bauer at 389-2891, or Danielle Pearles at 389-2892 with any questions.

CREDENTIALS - Nazareth College graduates pursuing careers in education have established a file with the Career Services Office containing letters supporting their candidacy for employment. This is a useful tool in assessing the qualifications of Nazareth graduates. Be sure to ask our graduates if they have a file available.

JOB FAIRS/SPECIAL EVENTS - Nazareth College participates in several large local job fairs, including the Rochester Area Career Expo and Teacher Recruitment Day, as well as a very popular Internet-based program, the Nazareth College Summer Jobs Fair. Please contact Career Services for more information or registration materials.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAMS - The majority of Nazareth College juniors and seniors participate in important off-campus learning experiences, coordinated both campus-wide and departmentally. In fact, all Nazareth College students are encouraged to participate in these opportunities, and make significant contributions to the greater Rochester community by doing so. Students in the Management Internship Program work in a variety of positions including: market research, human resources, accounting/finance, advertising, and more. Students pursuing allied health professions and education, in addition to students studying science and liberal arts also gain practical, on-the-job training that they can bring to any organization. Most internships last for one semester and are completed for academic credit. Please contact the Office of Career Services if you are interested in learning more about the Internship Programs at Nazareth College.
