Science and Mathematics Scholars Program - Take a look - Scholarships Available for 1st year Freshman beginning fall 2009

Biology is the scientific study of living things at levels ranging from the molecular to the global. Three degree programs -- Biology, Environmental Science, and Biology Education -- tailor the biology student's curriculum to specific scientific and career interests.

• The Biology program rigorously involves students in crucial areas of biological thinking and laboratory work, while preparing them for careers in research, medicine and other health care professions, and industry. This program is designed to meet both graduate and medical school requirements.
• Majors in Environmental Science apply biological principles to environmental problems, while planning for ecological careers such as research or conservation.
• Biology Education programs -- for prospective secondary and dual certification elementary/special education-K-12 teachers -- provide a solid base in modern biology for students interested in teaching science.
