Bill Hallahan and Sheila Brady Root, faculty from Nazareth College, along with Merva, a biology major from Nazareth, participated in the 2007 Regional Science Olympiad Competition that was held at St. John Fisher College on February 24, 2007. This team competion determined the area's top students in Science Olympiad, Division B. Since September, students prepared to compete in 21 events in the fields of engineering, biology, physical science, and problem solving. This was one of several regional cmpetitions in New York State, which acts as a preliminary round to the state competition to be held April 21, 2007, at SUNY New Paltz.
